Sleek International was founded in 1989, as a cosmetics company originally. In 1993 the company diversified into the ethnic hair extensions market.

Since then the company has grown and become very successful. In 2000 the Paris office opened, rapidly followed by offices in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and South Africa. In 2004 Sleek entered into a joint venture with Henan Rebecca, the largest manufacturers of hair in the world and Noble Sleek was born.
